SCOTT DUNCAN
Across a career capturing raw, cinematic moments for television, advertising, and documentary, director Scott Duncan has become known for emotional, visual storytelling shaped by more than 25 years filming the Olympics, a decade with NFL Films, and over 50 seasons of Survivor, earning 19 Emmy Awards and 38 nominations.
Scott has spent time in the remote regions of Namibia, Botswana, and Angola, revisiting villages for 27 years, where he has watched children grow into adults and traditions endure even as the world slowly shifts around them. Between Dust and Sky traces the quiet relationship of the people whose lives move with the wind.
Dust rises behind herds, voices travel across vast landscapes, and moments of stillness emerge between movement. The camera shifts from instrument to listener to capture a way of life poised between earth and sky, presence and disappearance.
Scott’s images hold reverence for a world both enduring and fragile, asking what it means to belong to a landscape that is always changing and how to remember what may soon be lost, and what that loss may mean to our humanity.
